Sedona Venue Creekside Inn B & B
Looking for charm, elegance and peacfulness in Sedona....? I could have rolled in the perfectly cut green grass if I wasn't the coordinator for the wedding! So soft and the perfect shade of green, and then you walk down to this beautiful area (where the bride and groom decided they wanted to have their ceremony located) and it's so perfectly picturesque...more green grass to lay on and listen to the beautiful creek as you look up at the tall trees of wisdom whispering wishes for happiness and love. Honestly, the wedding of Ryan and Melinda was an absolute pleasure for us to coordinate and we are so thankful to them and their families for allowing us to share their special day at such a beautiful location in Sedona, AZ : )

Wrap it up...here we come for a Vegas Visit!
So we wrapped up Prescott Wedding Walk and we're off and running into May with Prom and two weddings and a consultation in Vegas
to
meet our beautiful Vegas bride, Kayla! That's me with Kayla-photo on the left : )
While we were there we went to her fitting because she wanted me to see her in her dress...and to show me the bridesmaids gowns, and talk colors...how could I resist? The truth of the matter, I think I was more excited than Kayla to hear about colors and I felt honored that she took me for her fitting. Goodness she looked BEAUtiful! While I would love to show you a picture of her in her dress, my fingers are sealed on that deal. I don't dare want to risk her fiance, Andy seeing any photos of his bride-to-be before their wedding day. That would be a big slap on my wrist and some extras ;0) What I will leave you with is a beautiful photo of the Bellagio
...ahhh! While at the Bellagio, we stopped for some dinner, just spur of the moment. Hey, we were hungry and felt like a nice dinner...what we didn't expect was this AMAZING European/French fine dining experience! We walked down the marble stairway into Picasso (http://www.bellagiolasvegas.com/restaurants/picasso.aspx), and was greeted by this beautiful young lady. We took a quick glance in the room and noticed suits, elegant dresses and stunning tall floral arrangements artistically placed throughout the room. Before, I even had a chance to review the menu, I was caught up in the beauty of the room and was escorted by this handsome gentleman to my seat in which he pulled my seat first and called me ma'dam and then my husbands seat.."sir." I think it was when I noticed that every time a waiter walked passed our table, they said "excuse me", I knew we were in for more than a treat...this was going to be an experience and we were going to enjoy every minute! Our table had a view of the "dancing water" and the food was beyond delicious! Once we paid our bill, the waiter came to me and said, "this is for the lady"...I've got to admit..I was anxious about opening this gold box that read "Picasso" (that's the name of the restaurant)...but I did...can you guess what was in this box? Reply to this post and if you can guess what this box had in it, you'll win a $75.00 StarStruck! Gift Certificate! Growing with time
As I mentioned in the previous post, we went to San Diego to see my brother JC graduate from high school and I just can't believe how much time has passed and how many things have changed. It's wonderful to have such great memories of family and we all help each other at one time or another. JC I am so proud of you and miss you already!

Where have I been and what have I been up to? I think it's more like...where haven't I been and what haven't I been up to : ). From Arizona to Pennsylvania for family reasons, planning a gorgeous Prescott destination wedding and a major production for Prescott brides with my partner of 928 Brides Guide, Cindy Reeves....and keeping up with the hubby!
Wheww! What a weekend...I think I've finally caught my breath! Black and White Beauty traditions and classic style wedding on April 22 and Prescott Wedding Walk on April 24 in Downtown Prescott. What a pleasure to be Ashley and Kendrick's wedding coordinator and decorator. A couple that truly finds happiness and romance in the arms of one another. I will be posting photos of that wedding in a few weeks.
Prescott Wedding Walk was amazing...fun...energetic...fabulous...a grand success! We began our day with brides, groom, and guests at the Hassayampa Inn in downtown
Prescott, & got the brides on their way with their "bridal fab bags" and map, located in PopRocket newspaper(loved the map, John)..off they were for shopping, visiting with exclusive vendors at Hotel St. Michael, and headed back to Hassayampa Inn for Marvel, Fashion Show and Happy Hour where prizes were announced. Not just any Halloween Party...
(photo by Nicoli Productions)July 17, 2009, I saw myself as his “rock” while he broke into pieces, telling me his dad has pancreatic cancer, stage 4 with a life expectancy of 4 months...six if he’s lucky.
The diagnosis, a complete shock to the entire family and very over-whelming to my mother in-law. She is in her sixties, still works and takes Clay to treatment twice a week for 3 weeks each month. The drive is a little over an hour each-way. She has medical issues herself but never complains and puts her husband, her family and others first.
The cancer is in his pancreas, liver and lymph nodes. We are now approaching month four and my father-in-law is responding to chemotherapy and taking it like a "champ" but his lymph nodes in his neck area are increasing so they will begin radiation in that area of his neck as soon as possible. Clay (my father in-law) is now dealing with the symptoms of the chemotherapy. He is nauseous with vomiting, weakness, easily fatigued, loosing weight, loss of appetite, etc.

Those of you who know us, are aware that Clay is from a very small town in Pennsylvania. Millerton, PA. is so small they still have no traffic light. It is a small farming community with not a whole lot of resources. The resources are usually the churches and your neighbors for assistance.
Clay and June (my in-laws) have always lived a wholesome and simple lifestyle. Rich in values and morals. They have lived in the same 2-bedroom house for over thirty years (in which they converted into a 3 bedroom themselves), their main source of heat in the winter is firewood and they are always the first to help others.
Back in Pennsylvania it is approaching winter months and Clay and June will need help in many ways. Since we are thousands of miles away we are putting together a fundraiser. The funds raised will help Clay and June to pay for firewood, landscaper, gas, medical bills and treatment.
If you would like to make a donation we would be so grateful. We thank you for you for taking the time to read this and your consideration.
If there is one thing I know that will piece together my "rock", it's him witnessing how people come together to help his dad. Clay's greatest attribute is his helping hands. He is a reflection of his dad. Why not contribute to a cause of my father-in-law suffering pancreatic cancer who has dedicated his life to serving his country & community?

Halloween Spooktacular Update and more hints!
I can barely stand it.....we're two weeks away from our Halloween Spooktacular! We've got an exciting evening planned for you! We'll be "gettin down with good o'll comfort bites", "monster-mashing"(kidding about the mashing) to live music by Bud Tyndale, viewing/purchasing phenomenal artwork by local artist and StarStruck! Assistant Coordinator, Angela York, & more festive activities...you're sure to have a night full of "spirits"! "Waaahhhhh-haaaahhhaaa!" Several of you have tried and tried to get it out of me and asking me, "so what are you going to have us do?" Nice try...but this gal isn't giving in...helllloooo...I'm Ms. Surprise herself!!! Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a chance to visit www.costumesupercenter.com and see their great sales! We sent you some helpful "tips" to you to help you when planning for your costume....I can hardly stand how much fun this is going to be! You know me....I LOVE surprises!
Clay.... he becomes ONE big "kid" at this time of year!
So...together we've come up with one more FUNtastic surprise! Hint: the "SPIRIT" of Halloween is sure to "create memories" at StarStruck!
